Squeeze Pickleball is hosting a Tournament for BOHC members. Join us Thursday Sept. 4 (1pm to 4pm)!
Off-season training starts now! Who will be crowned the first-ever BOHC King of the Pickleball Court? Join us for a fast-paced, 3-hour King of the Court pickleball tournament built exclusively for BOHC players thanks to our Black division Convenor Jim Kotsopoulos (Squeeze Pickleball - gold sponsor). We are hoping for at least 4 players from each division to give it a try! Thursday, Sept. 4 (1pm to 4pm), then meet at Hectors post tourney.
Tournament Details
- Format: King of the Court
- Date/Time: 3 hours of non-stop play
- Entries: First 32 players (16 teams) to sign up secure their spot
- Cost: $25 per player
- Teams: Enter as a pair or sign up solo—we’ll match you with another BOHC player - All skill levels welcome
- No hockey equipment required! We have paddles and balls to borrow.
Important Registration Info
- If you are signing up as a team of two, both players must register and pay individually
- Once registered, please send an email to club@squeezepickleball.ca with your teammate’s name so we can link you together
- If we do not receive an email, we will assume you’ve signed up as a single and will partner you with another BOHC player
How it Works
- Everyone starts on a court (1 through 8) based on signup order
- Games are 11 minutes long—play to the buzzer and record your score
- Winners move up a court, losers move down
- Example: Start on Court 5, win and move to Court 4 next round, lose and drop to Court 6
- The ultimate goal: climb to Court 1 and win the final round to be crowned BOHC King of the Pickleball Court
Pro Tip: Court assignments are based on signup order—so sign up early to grab the best starting position!

BOWSER is looking for volunteers
BOWSER is looking for volunteers for 1- 2 times a month.
If you are interested in helping us out, please contact us at hockeyfamily555@gmail.com or call 905-802-6801.
In the fall of 1992, six hockey wives formed BOWSER (Burlington Oldtimers’ Women Supplying Emergency Relief). Their mandate was to help the less fortunate residents of Burlington with a monthly collection of food and cash, all of which would be donated to the Burlington Food Bank. Each month during the hockey season the “BOWSER LADIES” are at arenas collecting non-perishable food items and household necessities. The tradition continues and we're very proud of the women that put in the time!
Thank you - Johanne Patterson

Spotlight on BOHC!
Canada’s largest adult hockey league proves you’re never too old to play
Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Club has over 1,200 members across eight divisions
Playing in the NHL is a common dream for youngsters who lace up their skates for the first time. But what happens for those who don’t see that vision of playing pro hockey come to fruition? They carry that passion for the game throughout life, even if they don’t win a Stanley Cup.
A love of the game and comraderie is what the Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Club is all about. They’re called the “old timers”, but it’s a place for men 35 years old and up to play the good old hockey game. As Canada’s largest adult hockey league, the BOHC has over 1,200 members across eight divisions.
Divisions are split by skill level, so it’s common to have players of all ages on the ice at the same time. They have some members in their 80s who still participate and love lacing up a few times every week.
