Celebrate 50 Years of the BOHC with a New Club Logo. Join the Contest!
In 2025, the B.O.H.C. will achieve a significant milestone in the club’s history – our 50th anniversary!
In addition to special events being planned by our 50th Anniversary Committee, the Club will also be launching an exciting new chapter in the B.O.H.C. story -- a fresh, new logo and branding that honors our legacy and looks ahead to the future.
And here’s the best part: you and your family can be part of creating this new chapter!
We are inviting all B.O.H.C. members and their families (including kids and grandkids) to participate in our Logo Design Contest. This is your chance to leave a lasting mark on our club and showcase your creativity. And…the winner will be rewarded with a $250 prize to recognize their efforts!
Once we shortlist the submissions, all club members will have an opportunity to vote on their favourite and pick the winning logo via an on-line survey. More information on that will be coming to you in February.
Logo Contest Guidelines:
- Open to all members of the B.O.H.C. and their family members (including kids & grandkids)
- You can submit as many logo designs as you like
- Submissions should be emailed to director.marketing@bohc.ca
- Deadline to submit is Friday, January 31, 2025. Late entries will not be accepted
Logo Design Requirements:
We are allowing a lot of latitude in your design submissions, but we do have some mandatory requirements:
- Must include the acronym B.O.H.C. (do not spell out the complete name of the club in the logo)
- Logo design and fonts should be clear and legible when used on jerseys, small crests, hats, t-shirts, signage, and banners. Recommended logo orientation is vertical rather than horizontal (see example below):
- Maximum of two colours (plus white) to be used; designers are free to use whatever colour combinations they would like. The logo should be effective in full colour, black and white, and single-colour application.
- Preferred file formats for submissions are vector format (e.g., AI, EPS, SVG) for scalability, and high-resolution PNG and JPEG for digital use. However, we will allow single-format submissions (eg. JPEG)
Contest Rules & Regulations:
- Only original designs should be submitted, and they must not contain any copyrighted or plagiarized elements
- The B.O.H.C. will own full rights to the logo and intellectual property upon project completion
- The Club reserves the right to alter the winning logo and/or colours of the logo upon project completion
- Should there not be any designs that are deemed to be winning entries, the Club reserves the right to use 3rd-party designers
