Thanks to all members and Volunteers this year
It’s been a great season this year with clean, competitive hockey and our normal BOHC spirit of treating all games as a chance to get on the ice with fellow members and share a few laughs. I want to thank my fellow convenor, Stephen Leclerc for all his help this year on and off the ice, and Rob Allan for again running the pool duties with ease. There are many of you who volunteered throughout the season to assist with the tournament, filling in for your captains when called on, those who collect game sheets, and in particular Andre Leclerc who updates our stats. To all of you who make this the best run Oldtimers league in Canada a huge Thank You!!
The Play-off Run is now ahead of us, and although winning is fun, this is a reminder that we are playing for a T-shirt, there are no scouts in the stands and we all have a ‘day job’ so keep the same BOHC spirit in mind. Continue to treat all members, refs and city rink staff with respect as we finish up the season.
Congratulations to Marin Breton and the Red Wings for clinching the regular season league title with 32 wins and 66 points. For the rest of the Red division teams the good news is we all start the playoffs with the same points ‘0’.
Year End Banquet – Friday, April 26th
Thanks to all the teams for selling the Tournament tickets we now have a free division Banquet hosted by the tournament committee. We have booked Hector’s for Friday April 26th with doors opening at 6pm. Book this in your calendar and we look forward to seeing you all there to share a beverage and a few stories. Please let your captain know if you plan to attend so we can get final numbers confirmed.
