Save The Date -- Red Division Year-End Banquet at Hectors -- Saturday April 22nd, 2023 -- 6:00 pm
Join us for our annual Red Division banquet, a great way to close out the year together as a division.
Riveting speeches by the Captains!
Awards! (note -- you really don't want to win an award)
Free Food!
Due to your outstanding efforts to sell all the Invitational Tournament raffle tickets, our division has won a complimentary BBQ dinner. The League has also provided us with a replica Mitch Marner Maple Leafs jersey that we will give away to to a lucky attendee. So save the date, and we’ll see you there.
Thanks To Our Red Volunteers at This Year’s BOHC Invitational Tournament
The Invitational Tournament is our league’s largest fundraiser, with proceeds going to the Carpenter Hospice, and a portion going back to the league coffers to help keep our registration fees low.
And those beer tickets aren’t going to sell themselves. So a big thanks to the following guys for stepping up to volunteer at the tournament: Mark Palmer, Martin Breton, Tim Fisher, Chris Fulton, Todd Schultz, Rob Kirin, Brandon Marsh, Frank Goodrum, JD Petit, Troy Pocaluyko, Chris Falco, Mark Doogan, Rob Allan, and Drew Towarnicki. Thanks boys!
Put Your On-Ice Energy Into Having Fun, Sportsmanship & Respect
As the regular season winds down and playoffs are on the horizon, a few players will tend to up their dosage of testosterone shots and Adderall before games and start to play “hard”. Don’t do it!! Guess who cares if you win the playoffs? No one. Seriously. Nobody. Not one person. Your wife might say she’s happy for you, but she’s lying. She doesn’t care. Your friends and co-workers? They’re embarrassed for you that you even brought it up.
So a friendly reminder that the BOHC is a club that values good sportsmanship, camaraderie, and fun. You have our permission to continue to be a good guy and just have fun on the ice.
Wheat-based Beverages – Some Health & Safety Tips
Many Red Division players have doctor’s notes requiring them to drink wheat-based beverages after games to replenish their carbohydrates. Please remember that you need to limit your health regimen in the dressing room to a maximum of 30 minutes, or the start of the 2nd period of the game being played after yours. Please be out of the dressing room by then and be courteous to the arena staff if they ask you to vacate the room.
Also, it’s been reported that some wheat-based beverages are being carried into the arena in coolers. Keep in mind that Ontario is not an Open Carry province…keep coolers inside your hockey bag. The City of Burlington does not share our attitude towards healthy rejuvenation after games, and they will shut us down if we’re flouting it. Let’s be safe out there.
That's it for now boys. Have fun and see you at the rink.
