It's October. You know what that means. Everybody enjoys their turkey as the Blue Jays disappoint once again. Maple Leaf fans are planning the parade for the 56th straight year. Red Wings fans are hoping to squeak into the playoffs, even if it's only for 4 games. The Habs and Hawks are fighting to win the Conor Bedard sweepstakes. And of course the Green Division is ramping up for another great season. We have 3 new captains and about 17 new fulltime players stepping into the fray. Let me welcome the new players and thank the new captains for stepping up. The division is only as good as the guys we have running the teams and I want to personally thank Bob Lambert, Brian Nelson and Colin Brock for taking over this important job. And of course I want to thank the outgoing guys who have done a great job during trying times. My Personal thanks to Dave Kimberly, Allan Harding and Clint Williams. Big shoes to fill both figuratively and literally. This is the first time in over 2 years that we can reasonably expect to play the year without any interruptions. We're only a couple of games in and it's hard to pick an early favourite. The early games have been pretty quick and hotly contested. It appears most (but not all) of us have been adhering to a strict off season training regimen. Looking forward to another great year. Keep it clean and keep your stick on the ice.
