News - Sept 8 - We're Back

09/09/2020 Wednesday

Opening day is Saturday, Sept 19, 2020

Great news! We finally have a schedule and are starting games Saturday September 19 -- The new partial schedule is being worked on and will be sent out shortly as well as uploaded to our website. So welcome to the 2020 / 2021 hockey season. We are as excited as you are for a chance to add hockey back into our life. We are sure you have questions about the upcoming season so we will try and answer as many as best we can starting first with our beloved Captains and Convenors.

Scheduled upcoming Captains and Convenors meetings
Monday Sept 14, 6:30 – 8:00 PM – Gold and Grey.
Monday Sept 14, 8:00 – 9:30 PM – Blue and Green.
Tuesday Sept 15, 6:30 – 8:00 PM – Black and White.
Tuesday Sept 15, 8:00 – 9:30 PM – Orange and Red.

Among the many things to go over will be our return to play guidelines. Thank you so much to the three wise-men that worked so hard all summer long to help formulate our plan :-) And a shout out to their wives as well for their insights for getting us all out of the house.

Jerseys for Charity!

We will also be handing out our new jerseys and socks to the captains. They will then look after the distribution to players at our first games instead of having Stag Nights this year (due to the indoor covid restrictions and number of people allowed at the Club).

If you still have your jersey/socks from last season, they were supposed to be returned to your team captain over the summer. Thank you to everyone who did wash and return their jersey, we managed to sell some of these as team sets to players in return for donations for the Carpenter Hospice. Still some teams available if you are able to help out.

BOHC Annual General Meeting Notice

Thursday, Sept 17, 2020 (7:00pm) at Hectors

Please RSVP if you plan to attend the AGM at Hectors by sending an email to Safety protocols will be observed... and free donuts of course.

BOHC Health Questionnaire

covid qs

Before each game - all players and participants will be required to complete the standard covid screening health questionnaire based on the current Government regulations. You will be required to log in and answer the questionnaire one day prior to every game you play. This is standard procedure at all City facilities today and is one more attempt to control potential outbreak issues. Details will be provided soon

The BOTTOM LINE is this covid crisis must be taken seriously. We have an opportunity to protect each other and must do everything we can. It will take our shared resilience and patience to get through the opening portion of the new season together. BOHC has a tradition of people always pulling together to help. This pandemic is probably going to be one of the greatest tests of our spirit. We thank you in advance for your support and look forward to seeing you all again
