Happy Fathers Day Boys!

The Club is actively participating in City discussions and also watching the Private rinks as they are opening up for skills and drills now. At this point we must all follow the guidelines set by our government and public health authorities. To date, The City has opened one arena (Central) and is allowing Figure Skating only at this point. So at least things are progressing.

return to hockey

We asked the smartest guys in the Club for their take on when we will be back. We asked them to come up with our own BOHC response to Hockey Canada’s Return to Hockey Plan. When our country is ready, we will be ready! These guys are working diligently on a BOHC Return to Hockey plan based on direction from governments and public health authorities. As provinces and territories begin to reopen in the wake of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, these three players will provide resources and information to keep players, fans, coaches, officials and our board updated on everything we can. First, and most importantly, to the front-line and essential workers who have gone above and beyond around the clock to keep Canadians safe – a simple thank you is not nearly enough for what you have done over the last three months!!

Buy a set of our 2019 jerseys from us for just $75 and we donate that to the Carpenter Hospice. Please let us know if you are interested as we are in process right now of gathering them all back and trying to distribute for the cause.

New BOWSER Babes?

bowser

Great news! -- Johanne Patterson will be taking over the BOWSER BABES as you know, the originals are retiring after 29 years. Thank you to all of you for your continued support through the years.

She is looking for new BOWSER BABES this year. If you are interested in helping her out, please do not hesitate to contact her at 905-802-6801 or email her at hockeyfamily555@gmail.com.

They do their food drive on the 3rd Sunday of every month during the hockey season where they require a BOWSER BABE to sit and collect food and money donations.  They keep track of how many food items are received every month as well as cash donations.  Johanne will try to schedule you when your husband is playing but it does not always work out that way.  If you think this is for you then please contact her and she is happy to discuss any questions you may have.

Thanks boys - hope you all have a great Fathers Day weekend
