Due to covid-19, the traditional Santa Claus Parade will not happen this year as the City continues to follow public health direction and the need to maintain physical distancing and avoid crowding. As an innovative alternative to the traditional Santa Claus Parade Santa will be riding in an antique fire truck and hitting Santa’s Holiday Magic Trail
Gunther Kaschuba has always volunteered to run the City parade and he involves BOHC players every year to keep up with Gil Verwey's Zamboni - its become a tradition! Sadly we have another year off for the City Parade event
We want to support our charities - the Burlington Food Bank and Carpenters Hospice by providing a drop off before Christmas. Hector's will open up the front door of the Club and ask players to drop off donations in between the doors. Your team Captains were at the Club last weekend doing the jersey collection and they came up with the plan. Kevin Kofoed (one of the 3 smartest hockey players in the Club) will donate his AMJ van and driver to pick up any donations in the Burlington area on Dec 19 that cannot be dropped off at Hectors. He also said AMJ will kick things off with a donation of $500. What a generous guy! Hope to see you there on Saturday Dec 19
Andre is one of BOHC's honourary LIFE Members. He won the Don Glen Award (2000) presented to the Red Division player who best exemplifies competitive determination in true Oldtimer Sportsmanship fashion. He's a two-time recipient of the Keith Dunlop Award in 1989 and in 2012. His passion has always been hockey and he put's his heart and soul into BOHC even now as a team manager for his son's team and as the Red division's stats recorder.
Welcome to our BOHC Hockey Hall of Fame Andre and Thank You for everything you do for us. What an incredible career Andre's had. We're lucky to have him as part of our club boys! View interview
