Thanks For A Great Season Boys

16/04/2018 Monday

The 2017-18 season wrapped up on Sunday April 15th with the Black Hawks running the table during the playoffs, and defeating the Rangers by a score of 4-0. Well done Hawks!  A dominating performance in the playoffs going undefeated.  The game will be broadcast on Cogeco on Thursday, April 19th at 8:00 p.m. (it might be re-broadcast again after that, but not sure...depends on the ratings).

Also, congratulations to Greg Casson for being recognized as this year's winner of the Don Glen award.  This award is given out to the Red division player who exemplifies BOHC values.  Greg is a long-time player in Red who also served as Convenor for many years.  Volunteers like Greg are what make our league the best in Canada...thank you Greg!

We also recognized outgoing pool convenor Andy Meaning with gift certificates to Beertown and Pro Hockey Life for his outstanding work for the past 5 years organizing our pool.  Thanks Andy for your hard work and dedication to the league.

Other Stuff...

Registration for 2018-2019 Season: registration for next season closes on May 1st. Get your registration form and cheque into Hector's before then, or register on-line with your credit card (it's fast and efficient).  Failure to register by May 1st = automatic loss of full-time status, and you'll be placed in the pool for next year.

Captains for 2018-2019 Season:  huge thank you to outgoing captains Brian Smith and Paul Kuno for your time and efforts leading the Hawks and Rangers respectively.  Stepping into the captain's roles to replace them next year will be Scott Melee and Matt Heroux.  Thanks Scott and Matt for volunteering!

2018-2019 Draft & Notification of Teams: after registration closes on May 1st, our division convenors and captains will gather for the 2018-2019 draft.  Our goal is to let you know your new teams for next year at some point in June.

To All Players:  thanks for a great season boys!!  It was fun, competitive, and our division demonstrated the good sportsmanship and camaraderie that makes the BOHC a terrific league to play in.  Have a great summer, and we'll see you on the ice in the Fall.
