Congratulations to both the Black Hawks and Red Wings for their successful play off run, and epic battle in the Championship game last Sunday morning. It was a close game throughout being scoreless until half way through the first when the Wings went ahead and then within three minutes the Hawks tied it up. Chances went both way for most of the game and remained tied until the Wings pulled ahead half way through the second period and then holding off the Hawks with the net empty for the last two minutes of the game. They iced the deal with an empty netter with 12 seconds remaining.
Huge thank you to Mike Tyler (Plewes) for his Color on the Cogeco broadcast, and Stephen Leclerc for his last minute play-by-play assistance! Also to Graeme Millar for suiting up as back up goalie for the game.

Registration for 2024-2025 Winter Season
To be eligible for 2024-2025 fulltime Winter Hockey, you should register by May 1st in order to get your fulltime spot based on club seniority. After that, it’s first-come, first-served. Current members who register for next season after Sept 1st will lose their club seniority. Registration should be done on-line but a hard copy form with cheques or money order is acceptable.
Winter Fulltime Registration:
- Fulltime fee is $720 - $50 for club dues/pool & $670 for 50 hockey games). It is payable in full by credit card when registering on-line. Cheques made out to ‘BOHC’ of $420 May 1stand $300 Sept 1st can be submitted with hard copy forms for fulltime play.
- Fulltime registration will close Wednesday, May 1st or shortly thereafter if there are still fulltime spots to fill.
- Fulltime spots will be filled by overall club seniority for those who register by May 1st… after that it’s first-come, first served’. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
- Online registration uses the email address BOHC has on record for you so make sure it is current.
Winter Pool, Referee, Social and Honorary Registration:
- You should register by May 1st online or with a hard copy paper form. But remember to register by Sept 1st to keep your club seniority intact.
- All Pool Players pay $50 to register and $20 per game played.
- Referees are $40 and Social membership is $25.
- Previously designated Honorary Members must register, but at no charge.
